"Two Doors Down" is a
comedy project done in the improvisational style of Curb
Your Enthusiasm, Ten Items
or Less and the movies of Christopher Guest.
The series of four 15 minute episodes will be created
as a broadcast TV pilot and/or webseries situation comedy.
CONCEPT
Kevin Stone and Jennifer Pierce are two divorced parents,
who compete, in their own starkly different styles, for
the love of their shared child, Daniel. When Daniel gets
into a good school, Kevin and his young girlfriend move
into Jennifer’s trendy liberal neighborhood, finding a
house just two doors down from where she lives with her
new husband. Their different ideas about parenting cause
all kinds of friction between them as they are forced
to work together in raising their son. Who knows what
lengths people will go to when the one who drives you
crazy lives only two doors down.

**Principal
Roles**
KEVIN
STONE (Louie Cowan)
A frustrated filmmaker and newly single parent. He does
not live his life by rules or want to grow up or be
responsible, but being a dad has finally made him reassess
his priorities. He co-owns a local production company
directing infomercials, but he wants to find his own
artistic voice and still believes that his greatest
success is coming.
JENNIFER
PIERCE (Amber Mikesell)
Kevin’s ex-wife. She is well educated and a devoted,
sometimes over protective mother to her son Daniel.
She’s all about “keeping up appearances.” A bit neurotic
and territorial, Jennifer is building her new perfect
home with her new perfect husband in a liberal, Clintonville
type neighborhood, but Kevin’s presence as their new
neighbor threatens her idyllic new life in the suburbs.
STEVEN
PIERCE (Bill McKinley)
Jennifer’s new husband. A rather repressed and intellectual
type, he is an academic professor of English Literature
at a local community college. He thinks of himself as
“alternative” and hip, but he rarely thinks outside
of the box. The son of a strict and domineering mother,
he doesn’t mind letting Jennifer boss him around the
house.
BAXTER
NEUHAUS (scOtt summitt)
Kevin’s best friend and business partner. Baxter is
a creative and offbeat character, offering up oddball
random insights into life from a radically different
perspective. A deep thinker who’s been in and out of
several unsuccessful relations, his well-intentioned
advice often complicates matters worse.
SUMMER
PERKINS (Jessica Cameron)
Kevin’s girlfriend. A New-Age hairstylist, she is open,
free-spirited and a genuine giver. Much younger than
Kevin, she brings a vitality and sexually charged energy
to their relationship, which sometimes gives Kevin a
run for his money.
DANIEL
STONE (Jaden Montgomery)
Kevin and Jennifer’s son. A well-adjusted happy child,
his desire to be with both parents forces them to have
to get along as he begins his first year of school.
He asks lots of pointed questions, sometimes at inappropriate
times!
**Featured Speaking Roles**
MOTHER
PIERCE (Mary Jo Apisa)
Stephen's strict and domineering mother. She is very
disapproving of Jennifer, who constantly tries to score
points with her new mother-in-law.
THE
MARRIAGE COUNSELOR (Jane Mowder)
An extremely sensitive professional who ends up talking
about his or her own marital discord and has a comedic
mental breakdown in front of clients in mid-session
with Kevin and Jennifer.
MRS.
WILEY (Adrianne Underhill)
She is the chairperson of the local Neighborhood Watch
Committee. She's pushy, loud and has a holier-than-thou
attitude. She is a devout "cat person" who owns "Winky,"
the local neighborhood cat that causes Kevin headaches
when it constantly wanders into his yard (usually when
it's in heat).
   FOUR NEIGHBORS (Robin Starr,
Tammy McClellan, Gaynelle Sloman, Yury Khidekel)
Folks from the neighborhood who are friendly to Jennifer
but rather cool to Kevin.
MRS.
ABEL (Mary Dysert)
The kindly old neighbor lady who lives between Kevin
and Jennifer. She is the kindest person in the neighborhood
and loves to bake chocolate chip cookies for Daniel.
OFFICER
TRUNDLE (Ralph Scott)
The local policeman. A strict by the book type, he is
the neighborhood's answer to Joe Friday. He takes his
job very seriously, especially when serving as the liason
for the local Neighborhood Watch Committee.
OFFICER
MOONEY (Scott Risner)
Partner to Officer Trundle. He is a silent, youngish
character type who never says much in public as he is
a rather awkward and shy fellow.
ATTRACTIVE
POSTAL WORKER (Becca Moore)
She is friendly and flirtatious. Kevin makes sure he
is always outside when she delivers the mail. Unbeknown
to him, she is school friends with Summer.
DEMONIC
CHILDSUPPORT CASEWORKER (Amy Talbott)
Overly zealous about earning the highest commission
as possible by raking her clients for high childsupport
payments.
HIGH
STRUNG INTERN (Tyler Stewart)
He's an excitable young man who works with Kevin and
Baxter at their production company. Prone to high-strung
outbursts when things go wrong on the set.
DAVID PIERCE (Robert Foor)
Steven's independently wealthy brother, who always managed to outshine the rest
of the family.
ELEANOR PIERCE (Sarah J. Storer)
David Pierce's globe trotting wife and ardent collector of exotic souveniers from
far-away places.
